- How long were you a member of the team, which department did you belong to?
I started in 2008 and handed in the last assignments in 2012. From the student side, I am one of the founding members of SZEngine and as the first team leader and first association president I was a member of the management team.
- What were your main tasks?
Starting and building the team. Continuous resolution of problems and challenges. Developing the development direction with the technical team. The construction and operation of the funding framework conditions (association, sponsors, contracts, etc.). Integration of SZEngine into local public consciousness and university life. Laying the foundations for appropriate professional recruitment (selection, membership…) and knowledge transfer. The creation of the image and the implementation of the triple unity included in it (win-win-win for the students, the university and the supporting companies). Building relationships with partner teams who would use the drive chain developed by SZEngine. The establishment of the infrastructural foundations necessary for operation at the university with the help of the Department of Internal Combustion Engines. Launching Formula Student in Győr (with the main support of Audi Hungaria and SZE) on a track that expands and is sustainable in the long term. Hand over the tasks to the right people, who then build and “carry the torch”.
- What are you most proud of among your achievements in the team?
The fact that what we started from scratch 16 years ago under those conditions not only continues to work, but also went through a very nice development curve and fantastic things came out of it.
- What was your best experience during your time here?
Perhaps the fact that through the team members and the supporters I was able to experience that there are no impossible things and that we were able to actively connect with the knowledge, technique and technology belonging to the forefront of the profession in the countryside, which transformed the lives of all of us.
- Why was your time in the team valuable to you?
In addition to professional knowledge and unique experiences, the time I spent at SZEngine was also a great experience of self-knowledge and people-knowledge for me (and perhaps for everyone as well). I have experienced that those who have seriously committed themselves and spent at least 2-3 semesters actively and consciously in the team have fundamentally changed their vision and professional orientations and professional foundations. The time I spent in the team was interesting to me because I was able to experience and actively shape all of this, which was not possible before at the university under such marginal conditions.
