- How long were you a member of the team, which department did you belong to?
I was a member of the Thermodynamics department from 01.01.2018 to 04.04.2020.
- What were your main tasks?
Creation of CAD models for the intake system in the PTC CREO program. Charge exchange analysis in AVL Boost 1D thermodynamic simulation program. Construction of 3D flow simulations (CFD – Computational Fluid Dynamics) in the Star CCM+ program. Flow analysis and development of intake and exhaust system components. Participation in PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) laboratory measurements, examination of secondary charge movement. Production of composite parts (lamination).
- What are you most proud of among your achievements in the team?
To master the production process of composite parts and to introduce it within SZEngine (documentation of production processes and training of team members so that know-how is not lost if a team member leaves).
- What was your best experience during the 2 years?
Results achieved in the 2019 competition season, in which my work was also included: 1st place in the FS CZ Efficiency competition, 2nd place in the FS East Efficiency competition.
- Why was your time in the team valuable to you?
I was able to gain experience within SZEngine, how an organization works that is very similar to automotive companies, that is, how to work in a team, solve engineering problems together and achieve goals by working together with partner areas. In addition, the possibility of developing “soft skills” is also a great advantage in the team, since engineering projects must not only be carried out professionally, but also be able to present them in a foreign language in the everyday industrial world, as well as “being able to sell yourself”.
